Well I did it! It has been a year and I’m still writing blogs. I didn’t write two or even one every single month as I intended but as far as I’m concerned 8 out of 12 is pretty good. What’s more important is my yoga and meditation practice continues to improve. I’m even considering getting certified to teach yoga. More will be revealed as this month goes on!
As I look back over what I previously wrote this year I am so grateful for all the studios and teachers who have shared their knowledge and love of yoga with me as well as providing introductory, affordable and/or community classes. There are so many new and established yoga studios in Nashville and all of the ones I’ve written about are still going strong.
The next blog I write will be about my experience at Inner Light Yoga. This studio was a little different from other studios I’ve attended in Music City. Still, a wonderful way to spend an hour and a place I highly recommend for anyone new or experienced at yoga.
If you’ve looked at the Weekly Community Classes you’ll see I updated them in November. As mentioned it is always best to check the actual studio schedule or the Mindbody App to be 100% sure the class is happening and priced accordingly. I haven’t done as well at keeping the Community Yoga Events updated but please send me any suggestions and I’ll try to add them.
I also want to give a shout out to The Yogashala in Waterdown, Ontario, Canada. Whenever I visit my family I am grateful to this studio’s $10 community yoga classes which help me to keep practicing even when I’m traveling. My goal this year is to have a better more consistent home practice which I did start over the winter break! Although Enid, Oklahoma does have some yoga classes available, none fit into our schedule while visiting family this Christmas. Motivated by too much good food and a healthy husband I did do some yoga almost every day for well over a week. With that said, the day is coming to an end and I hear my yoga mat calling.
If I haven’t motivated you to do yoga yet, I hope you continue to enjoy reading about my journey. Happy New Year Yoga 2020!
