🦋 A Journey of Transformation 🦋
A 60-Minute Yin Yoga Class for September Set to the Wisdom & Music of Dolly Parton
September sits at a threshold. We’re caught between Pitta season—summer’s heat, intensity, and fierce passion—and Vata season, with its qualities of movement, change, and restless creativity. It’s a season of transition, and this class honors that sacred in-between space.
Just like the butterfly emerging from its chrysalis, you are in a season of transformation. The chrysalis is dark and mysterious, the caterpillar crawls patiently on the ground, and then—suddenly—wings. Flight. A whole new way of being.
“Dolly Parton embraced the butterfly not only as a song but as her personal symbol. She called it a rare and gentle thing.” This class celebrates your own rarity, your own gentleness, and the powerful transformation already underway within you.

Why September?
Why This Class?
September is the butterfly month. It’s when the Monarch butterflies begin their extraordinary migration, flying thousands of miles—an ancient mystery we still don’t fully understand.
It’s also the threshold between seasons in our Ayurvedic calendar. We’re moving from summer’s Pitta heat into autumn’s Vata movement. This class honors that transition: we practice grounding and settling (yin) while acknowledging the restless, creative energy of Vata.
And Dolly? Dolly has always been about transformation. From poverty to prosperity, from struggle to resilience, from hidden potential to radiant presence. She embodied what it means to spread your wings, to use your voice, to become fully yourself despite—or perhaps because of—everything you’ve endured.
Who Is This Class For?
This class welcomes anyone who’s ready to transform—whether you’re at a real threshold in your life, feeling stuck and ready to emerge, wanting to deepen your hip opening, needing to ground scattered Vata energy, a Dolly fan, or simply a yin yoga practitioner seeking a longer, more immersive practice.

- A calmer, more grounded nervous system
